Asian Table Tennis Championships | China national women's team defeats HK 3-0 to advance to final
The women's semi-final of the Asian Table Tennis Championships took place at 1:00 pm (Hong Kong time) today (Oct. 9), with Sun Yingsha leading the national women's team against Hong Kong, China, to qualify for the final.
Sun Yingsha, Wang Yidi and Chen Xingtong lead the women's team, while Hong Kong, China's Doo Hoi-kem, Zhu Chengzhu and Ng Wing-lam play in the semifinals.
Hong Kong's team has won two consecutive seasons in the women's team last year, and this year, they will be exempted from the group stage to enter the last 8 of the tournament. It is worth noting that with no quarterfinal match, Hong Kong team has already won three consecutive medals this time.
In the first set, Sun Yingsha faced Doo Hoi-kem, who took the first set for the national team with the score of 11-8, 11-4, 11-5.
The second match was between Wang Yidi and Zhu Chengzhu (11-6, 11-2, 11-7).
The third player of the match was Chen Xingtong against Ng Wing-lam. Chen took the first two games 13-11, 11-3, and then Ng recovered to 11-9 in the third game. In the fourth set, Chen ended the match with 11-4.
So far, the national women's team defeated Hong Kong 3-0 and advanced to the final of the Asian Championships. The final match will be between Japan and India.
