Wang Yi, North Korean FM mark 75 years of diplomatic ties
Wang Yi, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Korea, Choe Seon-hui, exchanged congratulatory messages to celebrate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between their countries.
According to Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), Wang Yi stated that the traditional friendly and cooperative relationship between China and North Korea has entered a new historical period and continues to develop steadily. He emphasized that maintaining, consolidating, and developing China-North Korea relations is a steadfast Chinese party and government policy.
In her message, Choe Seon-hui remarked that over the past 75 years since the establishment of diplomatic ties, the two countries have supported each other closely in politics, economics, and culture. Given the current complex and changing international situation, she noted that strengthening and developing the friendship between China and North Korea and jointly promoting the socialist cause remain critical tasks for their foreign ministries.
