The ferry service from Wong Shek Pier to Wan Tsai (Nam Fung Wan) and Chek Keng will cease operations on Oct. 19, with the final day of service on Oct. 13. In the future, visitors will need to switch to private charter boats or walk from Hoi Ha.
Nam Fung Wan is a popular outing destination featuring nature education trails, camping sites, and various water activities such as kayaking and paddleboarding. Chek Keng is a popular hiking route. Many people take the ferry from Wong Shek Pier to Nam Fung Wan and Chek Keng for recreational activities. The ferry typically operates only on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, with five departures from Wong Shek Pier. The tickets are priced at HK$18.
The operator, Tsui Wah Ferry Service, recently posted a notice stating that the ferry service between Wong Shek Pier and Wan Tsai (Nam Fung Wan)/Chek Keng will be discontinued starting Oct. 19 (Saturday), with the last operating day on Oct. 13 (Sunday).
