HK woman allegedly takes photos in bathhouse in Jeju Island, South Korea
A Hong Kong woman traveled to Jeju Island, South Korea, with her husband in early July. During their visit to a jjimjilbang (Korean bathhouse), she allegedly took photos in the women's area, which may have included images of other individuals in the nude. The woman remains in South Korea now.
Benson Kwok Joon-fung, Director of Immigration stated today (Oct. 6) that the Immigration Department has received a request for assistance from the individual involved and has contacted the Chinese Embassy in the area. He noted that issues will be dealt with according to local laws if someone violates the law in any country or region, and that the HKSAR government cannot interfere but will try its best to assist.
