Man assaulted by girlfriend's ex-boyfriend in Wong Tai Sin
At around 2:18 a.m. today (Oct. 5), a 49-year-old man reported an attack near Fu Shan Estate on Hammer Hill Road in Wong Tai Sin.
The victim stated that he was assaulted by three men, who threatened him with an extendable baton. The attackers then forced him into a taxi and took him to his residence at Pak Tin Estate, demanding HK$30,000.
One of the three attackers is his girlfriend's ex-boyfriend.
When the victim refused to hand over the money, the attackers took away his mobile phone, valued at approximately HK$3,000, before fleeing the scene.
The victim sustained injuries to his hand and was taken to Caritas Medical Centre by ambulance for treatment.
It is reported that the victim was on his way to visit his girlfriend at her residence in Fu Shan Estate when he was attacked by her ex-boyfriend and two other men.
The motive behind the assault is still under investigation. The case has been classified as "robbery" and law enforcement is currently pursuing the three suspects involved in the incident.
