
The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB) Boundary Control Point announced today (Oct. 4) that as of 00:45 on Oct. 4 this year, the total number of passengers entering and exiting through the HZMB Zhuhai Boundary Control Point has exceeded 20 million, representing a year-on-year increase of 86% and exceeding the total number of passengers for the whole of last year.
This is also the first time since the official opening of the HZMB that the annual passenger flow has exceeded the 20 million mark.
According to the latest statistics from the border checkpoints, since the beginning of this year, Hong Kong and Macao travelers entering and exiting through the Zhuhai Port of HZMB have made 12.033 million passenger trips, representing a year-on-year increase of 83.3%, and accounting for 60.2% of the total passenger flow of the port; the number of Hong Kong and Macao single-license-plate vehicles has exceeded 2.26 million, accounting for 56% of the total vehicular flow of the port; and since the beginning of this year.
Since the beginning of this year, more than 310,000 foreign travelers have entered and exited the Mainland through Zhuhai Port of HZMB for business, tourism, visiting relatives, studying and exchanges, representing a significant year-on-year increase of 185.5%.
