
This year's Beijing Marathon is scheduled to take place on Nov. 3, with registration closing at 11 a.m. on Oct. 5.
The organizing committee of the Beijing Marathon announced that the race will start at 7:30 a.m., beginning at Tiananmen Square and finishing along Scenic Avenue in the central area of the Olympic Park.
The full course measures 42.195 kilometers and is open to 30,000 participants. Eligible runners must be at least 20 years old and have completed a full marathon within 6 hours or a half marathon within 3 hours between Jan. of last year and Sept. 30 of this year.
The event will also coincide with the third station of the National Marathon Championship, featuring 200 athletes competing at the same time.
