Israel threatens 'major retaliation' for Iran's large-scale missile attack
According to a report by US news website Axios on Oct. 2, Israeli officials have revealed that Israel is planning a "major retaliation" in the coming days in response to a large-scale missile attack by Iran on Oct. 1.
The potential targets of this retaliation could include Iran's oil production facilities and other strategic sites.
The report stated that Israeli officials are considering targeted assassinations or the destruction of Iran's air defense systems as possible options for retaliation.
On Oct.1, Iran launched around 180 ballistic missiles toward Israel in a two-wave attack, which is regarded as the response to the killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and others. This is also Iran's largest-scale attack ever against Israel.
