According to CCTV News, a Chinese Coast Guard vessel reached the Arctic Ocean during the National Day period and commenced a joint patrol with the Russian Coast Guard.
This marks the first time Chinese Coast Guard vessels have entered the Arctic Ocean. The deployment significantly extends the maritime range of the Coast Guard and thoroughly tests its capabilities in unfamiliar waters. This initiative also strengthens China's participation in international and regional maritime governance.
