Over 930,000 boundary crossing on National Day, HK welcomes tourists with rich activities
During the start of the National Day "Golden Week," numerous mainland tourists and travel groups began their itineraries in Hong Kong.
According to data from the Immigration Department, on Oct. 1, there were more than 930,000 boundary crossings, with approximately 565,000 entries and 365,000 exits. Among these, over 220,000 mainland tourists traveled south to Hong Kong, and about 200,000 Hong Kong residents went abroad for leisure.
Regarding specific boundary points, Hong Kong West Kowloon Station saw the highest number of mainland tourists entering, with around 48,000 people. This was closely followed by the Lok Ma Chau Spur Line Control Point (Futian Port), with approximately 48,000 people and 38,000 mainland tourists entering through the Lo Wu Control Point.
