Typhoon Krathon to land in Taiwan on Oct. 2: National Meteorological Center
The National Meteorological Center of CMA stated that Typhoon Krathon was strengthened to super typhoon level early this morning (Sept. 30).
According to the Center, at 8 am today, Typhoon Krathon was located about 250 kilometers southeast of Cape Eluanbi, Taiwan, with a strength classified as a super typhoon. It is expected to continue moving north-northwestward, with its intensity likely to increase further.
The typhoon is forecasted to land on the southwestern coast of Taiwan between the afternoon and evening of October 2, after which it will pass through the island and move into the waters east of Taiwan on the afternoon of Sept. 3, gradually weakening.
