According to reports from People's Daily, several Olympic champions have recently taken on new roles.
On Sept. 25, the Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangdong Province officially announced the appointment of four outstanding individuals from Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau as promotion ambassadors. Among them is Olympic diving champion Quan Hongchan.
Quan, expressing her deep affection for her hometown, enthusiastically promoted Guangdong's culture and tourism, inviting people to visit and explore the region.
On Sept. 24, the "Face to Face with Champions" public political education class for primary, secondary, and university students was held at Beijing Sport University.
Olympic champions Ma Long, Feng Yu, Cao Yuan, Wang Lanjing, and Ding Xinyi were appointed as special instructors for political theory courses in Beijing schools. As part-time political education teachers, they will engage with schools at all levels, participating in the "Grand Political Education" series of teaching and educational activities.
On the morning of Sept. 23, activities themed on the champions' physical education lesson were held in Beijing Zhongguancun No.3 Primary School.
Olympic table tennis champions, Wang Chuqin and Sun Yingsha were invited to visit the school and shared their growth stories and brought a lively PE class to the school's faculty and students. During the event, they were bestowed with the role of "health guidance principals" at the school.
