Travel peak approaches! Congested routes during National Day holidays
As China's National Day "Golden Week" approaches, the Department of Transport of Guangdong Province has announced that toll roads will be free for small passenger vehicles with seven seats or fewer, and they anticipate that Sept. 30 will mark the peak travel day.
During the National Day period, it is estimated that there will be about 150 congestion points on Guangdong highways, including 139 congestion points on highways and 11 congestion points on ordinary national and provincial highways.
Located in Guangzhou's highway traffic congestion is expected to reach 33, including:
- Guangzhou-Shenzhen high-speed Logang toll station to the fire village interchanges.
-Humen Bridge, Guangzhou-Zhuhai East Tanwei Interchange to the Humen Bridge Weiyuan A station.
- Guangzhou Development Avenue Station to Huangpu Interchange along Guangzhou-Shenzhen River.
-Guanglong Expressway from Dongchong Interchange of Nansha Bridge to Seagull Island Toll Station, etc.
In Shenzhen, four sections of the highway are expected to face significant congestion, including:
-Stretch from Bao'an Toll Station to Nantou Toll Station on the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Expressway.
-Longgang Station to He'ao Station on the Huizhou-Shenzhen Expressway.
-Qinghu Interchange to Xiufeng Interchange on the Jihe Expressway.
-Luotian Toll Station to Luotian Interchange on the Longda Expressway.
In Dongguan, twelve sections are anticipated to be congested, including:
-Areas from Houjie South Interchange to Xinlian Interchange on the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Expressway.
-Shatian East Station to Yanjiang Interchange on the Wanfang Expressway.
-Shida Road Station to the Management Center Station on the Dongguan-Shenzhen Expressway.
-Weiyuan Interchange to Humen Bridge on the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Riverside Expressway.
The Guangdong Provincial Department of Transportation is ready to closely monitor weather changes, enhance patrols and monitoring, and prepare emergency response capabilities to ensure traffic safety and smoothness during the holiday. They will also strengthen service measures across different transportation hubs to enhance travelers' satisfaction and experience.
