A gray cat named Rayne Beau in California was missing while camping with its owners. Miraculously, he was found two months later. Since the location where he was found is about 320 kilometers away from home, the couple believes he was trying his best to find his way back home.
According to reports, Rayne Beau accompanied Benny and Susanne Anguiano to Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming for camping in June when he ran into nearby woods, maybe after being startled. The couple spent four days searching for him in the area but could not find any trace of him. They had to return home in California. Although they worried they might never see their beloved cat again, Susanne Anguiano held onto a glimmer of hope.
Two months later, he was subsequently taken to the local Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), where his microchip came in handy. The couple received a message from Pet Watch, a pet-tracking service.
Beau was found over 1,300 kilometers from the campsite where he went missing but only about 320 kilometers from their home. The couple firmly believes that Beau was making an effort to find his way home, which explains why he ended up getting closer to their residence. When he was found, he had lost 40% of his weight, dropping from 13 pounds to 8 pounds, and had also sustained injuries to his paws.
