'StartmeupHK' to be held next month
The " StartmeupHK," organized by the InvestHK, will be held from Oct. 21 to the 25 of next month.
The festival will feature conferences discussing the latest trends in startups and technological innovation, exhibitions, and entrepreneurial project competitions. Over 12,000 participants from more than 85 countries and regions are expected to attend.
Today (Oct. 24), the director of the InvestHK, Alpha Lau, stated that Hong Kong's simple tax regime, low tax rates, close ties with international and regional markets, and vast business opportunities from the mainland contribute to a strong entrepreneurial culture. This culture solidifies Hong Kong as an ideal base for startups, supporting their expansion into the Greater Bay Area and other Asian markets. Lau also noted that as of last year, there were over 4,000 startups in the city, setting a new historical record.
