The Chief Executive, John Lee, meets with reporters before attending the Executive Council meeting today (Sept. 24).

A reporter from DotDotNews said that different activities will be organized at Kai Tak Sports Park after the completion of the project. It is learned that the nearby Tuen Mun Line is not sufficient to cope with the huge passenger flow.

"Can the preparations for supporting facilities for the sports park be kept up? Is there any plan to evacuate 50,000 spectators?"

In response, Lee pointed out that the government has set up an inter-departmental group and has already commenced work, to maximize the economic benefits of the Park, while at the same time putting in place the necessary ancillary measures for the Park, including staff management and traffic layout.

Lee said that the government attaches importance to the preparatory work, the current working groups are doing a lot of drills, hoping to focus on responding to different periods of time, and different weather contingencies, to find and improve the work of the various units of the deficiencies.

There were two MTR stations in the vicinity of the Kai Tak Sports Park, which was about 15 minutes' walk away, Lee added.

Lee also said that a number of local teams will participate in the opening of the Kai Tak Sports Park next year, bringing a series of spectacular performances to the audience, which is believed to be able to promote the development of tourism and other industries in Hong Kong.
