Watch This | Coldplay to perform three shows in HK next April
Kai Tak Sports Park, set to open early next year, will host the British rock band Coldplay for concerts on April 9, 11, and 12, as announced today (Sept. 19).
The sports park is expected to be completed by the end of this year and will be operational in the first half of next year. Its main venue boasts 50,000 seats, triple the capacity of AsiaWorld-Expo.
This series of concerts marks Coldplay's first return to Hong Kong since 2009 and will be a part of the inaugural celebrations for the Kai Tak Sports Park, laying the groundwork for Hong Kong to host major events and promote grand tourism activities.
The "Music Of The Spheres World Tour," which started in March 2022, has already sold over ten million tickets across Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand, making it one of the most attended tours in history. In addition to Hong Kong, Coldplay has also announced concerts in Abu Dhabi, Mumbai, and Seoul.
For Hong Kong shows, pre-sale at Coldplay.com will start at 10 am (HK time) on Monday (Oct. 7); general pre-sale will start at 10 am (HK time) on Thursday (Oct. 10).
Furthermore, the travel platform Klook has been announced as the official travel and leisure partner for the "Coldplay: Music Of The Spheres World Tour." It will offer exclusive pre-booking of concert packages starting from Oct. 8, 2024, at 10 a.m. These packages include concert tickets and accommodations for one or two nights at a Hong Kong hotel.
