The two giant pandas presented by the Central Government will arrive in Hong Kong on Sept. 26 (Thursday), the Chief Executive, John Lee, said at the press conference before attending today's Executive Council meeting (Sept. 24).

Together with Ying Ying and Le Le, who have been living in Hong Kong for many years, and their newborn pair of pandas, there will be six giant pandas in Hong Kong.

Lee pointed out that the Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism, Kevin Yeung, will travel to Sichuan today to attend a farewell ceremony organized by the Panda Centre in Dujiangyan tomorrow, and that on Thursday morning, the HKSAR Government will hold a welcome ceremony for the pandas at the Hong Kong International Airport, after which they will be sent to the Ocean Park to begin quarantine isolation.
