During this Mid-Autumn Festival (Sept. 17), the Tai Hang Fire Dragon Dance expanded with a new performance area on Causeway Bay Road, featuring a "mini fire dragon" illuminated by 10,000 LED lights and danced by children.

The troupe commander of this Fire Dragon Dance, Cheung Kwok-ho, reported on a radio program that last night, the crowd filled 70-80% of Tai Hang, attracting many mainland tourists, particularly young people, with an even larger crowd expected tonight.

Cheung noted that the youth group dancing with the mini LED-lit dragon was formed years ago and first performed last year after the pandemic. He described their night performance as "stealing the show" and bringing much joy.

The Tourism Board has arranged for 1,000 drones to light up the night sky over Wan Chai's waterfront at 8 p.m., displaying patterns including the moon rabbit and mooncakes. The Tai Hang Fire Dragon will extend its route to Victoria Park's Soccer Pitches 5 and 6 at 10:30 p.m. tonight.

Public transportation adjustments for the Mid-Autumn Festival include:

- MTR lines (excluding the Airport Express, Disneyland Resort Line, and East Rail Line to Lo Wu and Lok Ma Chau stations) will operate overnight, with enhanced service starting at 3 p.m.;

- Seven Light Rail routes will operate overnight;

- Tram services will extend until 1 a.m. the following day, with enhanced service as needed;

- Three special bus routes (N64P, N272, and 173R) will run, with franchised bus companies extending service times and adjusting schedules for ten bus routes;

- Ten public light bus routes will extend their service hours;

- Thirty-one bus routes and fourteen public light bus routes will temporarily change their routes and adjust stops due to road closures and traffic diversions;

- Star Ferry, New World First Ferry, and Hong Kong and Kowloon Ferry services will enhance service based on passenger demand.
