The chain fitness center PHYSICAL Fitness & Beauty has announced its closure. However, it remains unclear whether customers' prepaid fees and coaches' unpaid salaries can be recovered.
A LegCo member points out that the marketing of lifetime membership is extremely exaggerated and unrealistic. For example, it is impossible to offer lifetime membership for just over HK$8,000, as the fitness center does not belong to the category of owner occupation and cannot guarantee lifelong service.
