The 11th Beijing Xiangshan Forum, a three-day event, commenced today (Sept. 12) under the theme "Promoting Peace for a Shared Future." The forum features four plenary sessions, eight simultaneous special sessions, six seminars, special academic activities such as high-end interviews, dialogues with leading experts, and seminars for young military officers and scholars, including a "Shanghai Cooperation Organization+" young scholars' salon.

This year's forum has attracted over 500 official representatives from more than 100 countries and over 200 experts and scholars from China and abroad. Journalists interviewed several foreign representatives on-site who praised China's contributions and hoped the Western world could learn from Chinese principles to foster peace. They also emphasized the importance of China continuing to play a positive and sustainable role in benefiting the world.

A participant from Pakistan remarked that China's contributions are too vast to detail comprehensively. She recalled her first trip to a Western country, where she noticed that nearly everything was "made in China." "This is not just about products made in China; it's about the contributions behind those products," she stated. In addition to the Xiangshan Forum, she mentioned the recent China-Africa Cooperation Forum held in Beijing, showcasing China's wisdom and strength in contributing to developing Africa's economy and livelihoods.

A representative from Turkey noted that China adheres to a principle of non-interference, playing a constructive role in helping other countries promote peace and maintain order and stability. "The Chinese government does not seek to disrupt; rather, it is committed to fostering peace. China has made significant contributions to UN peacekeeping operations, and so far, I have not seen any negative impact from China on the world. The role China plays is both positive and sustainable."
