Shenzhen Metro to extend service 1-1.5 hours during Mid-Autumn Festival
As the Mid-Autumn Festival approaches, the Shenzhen Metro announced today (Sept. 12) that it will extend its service across the network (excluding Line 20 but including Line 4) by 1 to 1.5 hours on Sept. 14 and Sept. 17. The "half-route last train" service will also continue.
On Sept. 14 and the day of the Mid-Autumn Festival (Sept. 17), the entire network will extend service by one hour (with Line 14 extending by only half an hour). The operating hours for these days will be adjusted to 6:20 a.m. to midnight.
During this period, Line 4 will extend its service by approximately 1.5 hours; the last trains on Lines 4, 5, 6 from Shenzhen North Station, and Line 11 from the Airport Station in both directions will not depart before 1:00 a.m. the following day.
Lines 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, and 12, which include the "half-route last train" service, will also have extended service hours. During the holiday on Sept. 15 and 16, the last trains from Shenzhen North Metro Station on Lines 4, 5, and 6 in both directions will not depart before midnight (12:00 a.m.).
It's important to note that on Sept. 15 (Sunday), the first train on Line 3 will maintain its normal service and will not delay its operation. Starting Sept. 18, the last train on Line 14 will resume its regular schedule, departing from Shatian at 11:00 p.m. and from Gangxia North at 11:30 p.m.
