HKEAA urges accuracy as 2025 DSE registration opens
Registration for the 2025 Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (DSE) opens today, Sept. 11, and will close on Oct. 8.
The Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority (HKEAA) posted a blog today reminding school candidates to provide accurate personal information, including a valid email address and a mobile phone number capable of receiving SMS messages. This information is crucial for receiving important notifications about the exams, one-time passwords for logging into the DSE app, and accessing exam results.
The HKEAA stated that after schools enter candidates' registration information, they will issue a "Candidate Information Verification Form" to the students. As some subjects have different modules or papers, it is essential for candidates to carefully verify their entries, especially since the names of Category B subjects can be very similar.
Most school candidates will take their core subjects at their own schools, while elective subjects will be arranged in examination centers based on the candidates' choice of region, as far as possible.
The HKEAA recommends that candidates choose to take exams in their residential area unless there is a substantial reason to do otherwise. Once chosen, the examination region cannot be changed.
