Joe Biden's son pleads guilty to nine federal tax charges
According to CCTV News, on September 5 (local time), Hunter Biden, son of US President Joe Biden, pleaded guilty to nine charges in his federal tax case.
Previously, Hunter Biden was charged in December last year with nine federal tax offenses, including failure to file and pay taxes, tax evasion, and filing false or fraudulent tax returns, three felonies and six misdemeanors out of the nine counts.
The indictment alleges that Hunter Biden failed to pay at least $1.4 million in federal taxes over a four-year period from 2016 to 2019 and evaded a tax assessment for the 2018 tax year by filing a false return on or about February 2020.
