As the new school term begins, Citybus announced that over 30 Citybus routes will offer additional and enhanced services starting the first school day on 2nd September, providing tailored transport solutions for students across the city.
The newly launched Route 79 connecting the North District, Tai Po, and Sha Tin will even feature an early special departure, ensuring students enjoy the most convenient and comfortable service.
Citybus is well prepared for the new term; the school routes will resume normal operations from next Monday (2nd September). Students studying in key school districts such as Hong Kong Island and West Kowloon can benefit from the services on Routes 23B, 85A, 85P, 93A, 702A, and more. Citybus will also bolster services on regular routes during peak school hours.
Detailed information:
Compared with the rail network and other bus services, the new Route 79 enjoys priority on the Tolo Highway, offering the fastest connection between the North District, Tai Po, and Sha Tin. To better serve the needs of our students, Citybus announced the introduction of an early Tai Wai-bound departure from Queen's Hill Fanling at 6:30 am on every school day, starting 2nd September, on a trial basis.
Students from the North District can enjoy swift connections to Tai Po and Sha Tin, while those living in Tai Po can reach Sha Tin directly in just 10 minutes.
Citybus consistently ensures reliable services at two major road borders, Shenzhen Bay and Heung Yuen Wai Port; it will provide special departures for cross-boundary students and their parents. Routes B3 and B3A will offer special trips from Shenzhen Bay Port for Tuen Mun each school day at 7:05 am and 7:15 am, respectively.
Additionally, Route B7 will provide a special departure from the Heung Yuen Wai Port at 7:20 am, Monday through Friday.
