The 2024 Paris Olympic Games Mainland Olympians delegation will visit Hong Kong from August 29 to 31. Approximately 5,300 tickets for the three performances were available today (August 22) at 10 AM through the URBTIX website, mobile app, or phone.
In the first 10 minutes of ticket sales, the URBTIX system showed nearly 50,000 people waiting to purchase tickets for the badminton, gymnastics, and table tennis demonstrations, with over 41,000 in line for the diving and swimming demonstration tickets and more than 25,000 waiting to buy tickets for the grand performance. All three events required over two hours of waiting to access the ticketing page.
Over 41,000 people were lined up to buy tickets for the diving and swimming demonstrations.

Our reporter from the news outlet conducted a ticket purchase test, clicking the purchase link right at 10 AM. The webpage indicated that were 288 people ahead in the queue, requiring a 5-minute wait. However, about 2 minutes later, the reporter successfully entered the ticketing page.
Afterward, there was difficulty securing a seat, with the page displaying, "The remaining seats in the selected area A are currently being selected by other customers and are temporarily unavailable."
Our reporter had to click the "Confirm" button to refresh continuously. After several attempts, our reporter successfully secured seats and filled in the information and payment process, ultimately grabbing two tickets for the badminton, gymnastics, and table tennis demonstration. The entire process, from starting to purchase to completion, took about 5 minutes.

Additionally, the reporter switched to phone booking at 10:15 AM in hopes of purchasing tickets for the Olympic athletes' grand performance but encountered call failures and was unable to buy tickets. By around 10:40 AM, the webpage indicated that all 5,300 tickets for the three performances had been sold out.
