Giant panda twins: Stable yet fragile, says Ocean Park chairman
The Chairman of Ocean Park, Paulo Pong Kin-yee, stated that the condition of the giant panda Ying Ying's pair of twins is currently more stable, including their feeding and excretion, but they are still fragile as they are less than a week old.
Paulo mentioned that Ying Ying is now taking regular care of her two cubs, allowing them to feel her body temperature. However, the siblings need to take turns being in contact with their mother and still rely heavily on experts and caregivers for assistance.
He also noted that the twins are currently nursing from their mother and that they require assistance from the Sichuan Giant Panda Research Center to provide additional panda milk. Ocean Park will also upload updates on the panda babies' condition in a timely manner to keep the public informed of their latest status.
