Research Vessel Tan Kah Kee open to public today
The Chiyu Tan Kah Kee Education Foundation will host a five-day event from Aug. 16 to 20, 2024, to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the 150th birthday of renowned patriotic overseas Chinese leader Mr. Tan Kah Kee.
The opening ceremony of Xiamen University's research vessel Tan Kah Kee (R/V TKK) was held yesterday (Aug. 16) at the Ocean Terminal in Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon. The research vessel will be open to the public for three consecutive days from today (Aug. 17).
Xiamen University's Tan Kah Kee, the first research vessel of a mainland Chinese university to visit Hong Kong and the first to hold an open day in Hong Kong, will be berthed at the Ocean Terminal in Harbour City, for five consecutive days from August 16 to 20, and will be open to the public for boarding from today to Aug. 19, with the deadline for online booking.
