HK celebrates birth of first giant panda twins at Ocean Park
The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government announced the birth of panda twins early Thursday morning in Hong Kong.
The female and male pair were cubs of Ying Ying and Le Le, pandas, which were given as a gift by the central government to Hong Kong in 2007. Ying Ying and Le Le completed natural mating in Ocean Park in March.
After five months of gestation, female giant panda Ying Ying finally gave birth to the twins at 2:05 a.m. and 3:27 a.m. on Thursday.

The public is looking forward to the arrival of a pair of giant pandas gifted to Hong Kong by the Central Authorities. It is learned that experts from Ocean Park have been in Sichuan for some time to familiarize themselves with the living habits of the giant pandas.

From public rental housing to hotel: The Ho couple's unfolding drama
It has been confirmed that Mr. Ho has lived in Mrs. Ho's public rental housing (PRH) unit without registration. Hong Kong Housing Authority sent a letter last Friday requesting Mr. Ho to vacate the premises, or they would issue a formal eviction notice.
Mrs. Ho recently stated in a livestream that she had moved out of their unit and was now staying in a hotel with Mr. Ho, who was left homeless, claiming they were being "persecuted" by the Housing Authority.
WeChat Pay HK offers HK$8 mainland transport discount
WeChat Pay HK announced on Aug. 13 that from now until October 29, it will give away HK$8 worth of Mainland transport offers to Hong Kong users, which can be used when traveling on the Shenzhen underground, buses, and other mainland public transport services supported by WeChat HKD Wallet.
There has been an increase in the number of Hong Kong's senior citizens whose children have emigrated overseas in recent years. Many of the "left-behind elderly" have developed emotional disorders or even suicidal tendencies due to loneliness.
