Huanggang Customs seized 12 lizards hidden in a traveler's possession at Futian Control Port this month.
On that day, the traveler was pushing a baby stroller in the passenger hall when the customs officer noticed her avoiding looking and walking in an unusual posture, so she was intercepted and inspected.
Upon investigation, 12 small white bags containing 12 suspected lizards were found tied around the waist of the passenger. The Shenzhen Customs Animal Inspection and Quarantine Department identified the suspected lizards as Tiliqua scincoides.
