WeChat Pay HK announced today (Aug. 13) that from now until October 29, it will give away HK$8 worth of Mainland transport offers to Hong Kong users, which can be used when traveling on the Shenzhen underground, buses, and other mainland public transport services supported by WeChat HKD Wallet.
Users can scan the promotional posters before entering various designated Shenzhen underground stations in Luohu, Futian, and Nanshan districts to get six mainland transport vouchers worth HK$8, including two HK$2 mainland transport vouchers ( available for use with a fare of HK$2.01 or above) and four HK$1 vouchers ( available for use with a fare of HK$1.01 or above). The coupons are valid for 7 days from the collection date on a first-come-first-served basis.
Currently, WeChat Pay HK covers transport services in 28 mainland cities. Using the above-mentioned mainland transport coupons will automatically pay the discounted fare. During the payment process, RMB fares are automatically converted to HKD at a rate better than the market exchange rate, and there is no handling fee.
