Paris Olympics ends after Sun Yingsha extinguishes flame
At the closing ceremony of the 33rd Summer Olympic Games in the early hours of August 12 (Beijing time), Chinese table tennis player Sun Yingsha took the stage as the representative of Asian athletes.
French swimmer Leon Marchand brought the Paris Olympic flame into the center of the Stade de France, and Sun delivered a speech on behalf of the Asian athletes, congratulating and thanking all the athletes from every other continent. At the end of the ceremony, athletes from all continents, including Yingsha Sun, extinguished the Olympic flame and the closing ceremony ended with applause and cheers.
In this year's Olympic Games, Sun won two gold, one silver and three medals. Sun also sent a special message to thank many people, "Thanks for the company of family, thanks for the support of the fans, and thanks to the coaches and staff for their dedication." She especially mentioned her partner Wang Chuqin and thanked him for his cooperation along the way.
