Olympics highlights: Athletes who turn defeat into victory during competition

Athletes are battling hard at the exciting Olympic Games in Paris. Many athletes have made history by turning the tables on the competition.

In the women's fencing final, Hong Kong, China's Vivian Kong in the opening 1-7 down to achieve a comeback, for Hong Kong, China delegation won the first gold in the Paris Olympics.

In the women's singles table tennis match at the Paris Olympics, China's Sun Yingsha lost to India's Sreeja Akula 6-10 and 5-10 in the first two rounds, before hitting 6-0 and 7-0 points to win the match.

Chinese tennis favorite Zheng Qinwen upset the world No. 1 Iga Swiatek of Poland 6-2, 7-5, ending her six straight losses to the four-time French Open winner.

In the men's table tennis solo quarterfinals at the Olympics, Fan Zhendong of China battled hard, losing the opening two sets before defeating Japan's Tomokazu Harimoto 4-3 in a thrilling seven-set match.

In the 10m Air Pistol Men Final, China's Xie Yu won the 3rd gold medal of the Chinese delegation as he showed his great consistency to fight back at the crucial last moment.

In the men's 50m rifle three-position final, Chinese shooter Liu Yukun achieved a stunning victory when he was still 0.3 rings behind Ukraine's Serhiy Kulish before the last three shots, and managed to win the gold medal.
