Edgar Cheung thanks for public's support, with return to HK tomorrow morning
Edgar Cheung, who won the gold medal in Men's Foil at the Paris Olympics, thanked Hong Kong people for their support and hoped that the public will continue to support Hong Kong athletes in a post on his social media platforms yesterday. It is learned that the two-time gold medalist will return to Hong Kong on Friday morning.
After a day's rest, Cheung finally expressed his feelings on his personal social media platform yesterday: "I really don't know what to describe this time I can win the Olympic gold medal again, thank everyone for their support, I will continue to work hard to move forward."
In addition, Cheung also appealed to the public to continue to support Hong Kong's athletes: "I hope you can also support Hong Kong's athletes, no matter whether they can attend the Paris Olympics or not, they have put in a lot of sweat and hard work in order to represent Hong Kong to achieve results, thank you once again for staying up all night to watch my competitions".
It is reported that Edgar Cheung will return to Hong Kong on Friday morning (Aug. 2), while Vivian Kong, who won the gold medal in women's epee fencing, will return to Hong Kong this morning.
