Paris Olympics: Gen Z Huang Yuting wins silver in women's 10m air rifle
In the women's 10m air rifle final held today (July 29) Hong Kong time at the Paris Olympics, Chinese athlete Huang Yuting ranked second and won the silver medal.
On the day of the event, Huang, who had already won gold in the mixed team event, performed excellently in the women's 10m air rifle final. She maintained a steady performance throughout the competition and ultimately secured the silver medal.
In the qualification round for the women's 10m air rifle event, Huang did not enter the final with the top score. She ranked fourth with a score of 632.6, advancing to today's final. Another Chinese athlete, Han Jiayu, scored 628.1 and ranked 16th, failing to advance.
Seventeen-year-old Huang has already won one gold and one silver in this Olympic Games. On July 27, in the mixed team 10m air rifle final at the Paris Olympics, the Chinese duo of Huang Yuting and Sheng Lihao, both born after 2000, won the gold medal, which was the first gold medal awarded at the Paris Olympics.
