Transfer information: Service suspended on Kwun Tong Line from Prince Edward to Ho Man Tin
MTR services on the Kwun Tong Line between Prince Edward and Ho Man Tin stations are temporarily suspended today (July 28) for cable hanger replacement work. Passengers traveling to Mong Kok and Yau Ma Tei stations can use the Tsuen Wan Line, while those heading to Ho Man Tin can transfer to the Tuen Ma Line.
This morning, reporters at Mong Kok station observed large signage reminding passengers of the transfer routes, with additional signs placed at key locations within the station. Passengers transferring to the Tsuen Wan Line should pay attention to the "red" indicators, while the Kwun Tong Line is marked in "green" to help them find the correct platforms.
The MTR has advised passengers that the boarding arrangements at Prince Edward station will differ from usual, as all Kwun Tong Line passengers must use Platform 2 for boarding and alighting.
Prince Edward station is the only interchange for the Tsuen Wan and Kwun Tong Lines, it is expected to be very busy, and waiting times for trains, escalators, and lifts may be longer. Passengers are encouraged to be patient and allow priority access to those needing the lifts.
Additionally, the MTR is collaborating with KMB to provide free bus service on Route 8 and Route 30X at designated bus stops, connecting Yau Ma Tei, Ho Man Tin, and Whampoa.
