According to the latest news from director Hu Xuehua and host Cao Kefan today (July 19), actress Cheng Peipei passed away at the age of 78.
Hu Xuehua posted in a circle of friends, "I remember 27 years ago, in Los Angeles, you hosted the memorial service for director King Hu. Today, the martial arts queen of film has passed away after Hu's death."
Host Cao Kefan also paid tribute on Weibo, "Every time I met her, I was touched by her bright laughter, and she never complained or lamented even when we talked about the difficult times in the past."
"In recent years, we have been hearing that she was in poor health, but I didn't realise that she would be separated from us forever. There is no pain in heaven, pray it goes all the way!"
