Boeing released data on Tuesday (July 9) showing that the company's total orders for the first half of this year reached 156 aircraft, a 70% decline compared to the same period last year.
The data indicated that Boeing sold just 14 new jets in the past month, a sharp 95% decrease from the 304 jets sold in June of the previous year.
It also revealed that of the 14 jets sold in June, only three were 737 MAX passenger jets. Notably, one of these was sold to Alaska Airlines to replace the plane that had a door plug blow out.
In terms of deliveries, due to legal and production challenges, Boeing delivered a total of 44 aircraft in June, a year-on-year decrease of 27%.
