Hong Kong musical composer and educator, Yip Wai-hong, passed away on June 16 at the age of 94.
Yip's Children's Choral and Performing Arts Centre announced the news on their social media page yesterday, stating that Dr. Yip Wai-hong, the founder and honorary music director of the center, peacefully passed away on June 16, 11 pm due to his advanced age. Details regarding the memorial service will be announced by the centre at a later time.
Yip Wai-hong was a prominent figure in Hong Kong's music education scene and made significant contributions as a composer and educator. His legacy in promoting and nurturing musical talent, particularly among children, will continue to inspire generations to come.
