Photos | Whole scene of dragon boat races is intense

The Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Races 2024 was held from today (June 15) to tomorrow (June 16) in Victoria Harbour, attracting large crowds of spectators who watched the event in the rain.

The event featured 17 races with more than 170 teams from 12 countries and regions. The number of participating countries and regions and the number of dragon boat teams have all surpassed that of last year. Apart from teams from the Mainland, Macau and Hong Kong, overseas teams included those from Singapore, Japan, the United Arab Emirates and Thailand.

This year, the cup of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China is newly added, while the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area championships and the 18 districts cup are held again, and the popular dress-up contest also continues to be staged.
