Apple today announced Apple Vision Pro will expand to new countries and regions, with pre-orders for mainland China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore beginning this Thursday, June 13, at 6 p.m. PT and availability beginning Friday, June 28. The device will officially go on sale later this month, on June 28th, with prices starting from HK$27,999 in Hong Kong.

According to the information released by Apple, Hong Kong will be one of the first markets to open pre-orders for the Vision Pro this Friday at 9 am (HKT). Customers expect to receive their orders as early as June 28th (Friday). The Vision Pro will be available in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage configurations, with prices starting from HK$27,999. A dedicated travel case will be sold separately for HK$1,599, and the AppleCare+ service plan will be priced at HK$3,999.

The Vision Pro is widely regarded as a product that will usher in the spatial computing era. The device was first sold in the United States on February 2nd this year. As Apple's "most expensive new product ever," the Vision Pro is priced at US$3,499 (around HK$27,325) and up in the US.

"The enthusiasm for Apple Vision Pro has been extraordinary, and we are thrilled to introduce the magic of spatial computing to more customers around the world," said Tim Cook, Apple's CEO. "We can't wait for more people to see the impossible become possible, whether working and collaborating with an infinite canvas for apps, reliving treasured memories in three dimensions, watching TV shows and movies in a one-of-a-kind personal cinema, or enjoying brand-new spatial experiences that defy imagination."

Users interact with apps by looking at them and tapping their fingers together. They can also speak to dictate text, use the virtual keyboard to type, and ask Siri to open and close apps, play media, answer questions, and more.

After the Vision Pro's launch in the US, it sparked considerable hype and excitement. Reports indicate that within 10 days of opening pre-orders, over 200,000 units had been sold. Digital enthusiasts and content creators worldwide have been flocking to the US to acquire the device after the official launch. However, the initial sales momentum has not translated into a strong long-term performance. Many Vision Pro users have significantly reduced their device usage after the initial experience period, with the product often left "gathering dust."
