Li Ka-shing remains Forbes' HK richest tycoon
The Forbes 2024 Hong Kong's 50 Richest list was revealed. The combined net worth of the top 50 tycoons in Hong Kong decreased by 9% to $296 billion.
Li Ka-shing, CK Hutchison's founder, continued to be the richest tycoon in Hong Kong with a net worth of US$36.2 billion (about $283.1 billion), followed by Lee Shau Kee, founder of Henderson Land, with a net worth of US$27 billion.
Family of Henry Cheng, Chairman of New World Development, ranked third, with a net worth of US$22.1 billion.
The five siblings of Lee Man Tat, Chairman of Lee Kum Kee Group, ranked fourth, with a net worth of US$17.7 billion, while Peter Woo, former chairman of Wharf Holdings, ranked fifth, with a net worth of US$13.7 billion.
The 6th to 10th places belonged to Joseph Lau, Founder of Chinese Estates Holdings, Lui Che Woo, Chairman of Galaxy Entertainment, Kwok Kwong Siu Hing, mother of Sun Hung Kai Properties's Chairman Raymond Kwok, Joseph Tsai, Chairman of BABA-SW, and Francis Choi, Chairman of Early Light International Holdings.
