Connie Talk EP9 | Zhao Dachuan expounds on past, present and future of Chinese tea
Nowadays, tea has become an indispensable part of Chinese people's daily lives, and its importance is further emphasized by the trend of innovation. In addition to the "yum cha" (tea drinking) tradition that prevails in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, tea has also become a prominent element in various beverages popular among the younger generation, such as bubble tea and fruit tea.

In this latest edition of Connie Talk, we're glad to have with us Mr. Zhao Dachuan, president of the Xiamen Tea Association and general manager of Xiamen Tea Import & Export Company Ltd., to expound on the past, present and future of Chinese tea in his eyes.
Zhao said that, despite its long history, Chinese tea is a "sunrise industry" that embodies excellent traditional culture, which represents not only a healthy and elegant lifestyle, but also a philosophy of self-cultivation.
He also mentioned that the spread of tea in the world is a manifestation of the cultural exchange between the East and the West, stressing that tea will continue to play an important role in the country's development of the "Belt and Road."
