Bangkok shooting case | Thai police find bullets in suspect's home, press 5 preliminary charges
According to CCTV reports, on local time (Oct. 4), the head of the Bangkok Kyoto Police Station in Thailand announced that the police have pressed five preliminary charges against the shooter (male, 14 years old) responsible for the shooting at Siam Paragon Mall. The charges include premeditated murder, perpetrating murder, illegal possession of a firearm, carrying a firearm into a public place without permission, and discharging a firearm in a public place without permission.
Police said they're gathering further evidence on other allegations and are presently looking into whether the suspect's guardian violated the Child Protection Act, while prosecutors and medical and psychiatric experts are looking into the suspect's mental state. The suspect is being held at Bangkok's Pathumwan Police Station Detention Centre and will be transported to the Juvenile Court for trial on the afternoon of April 4th.
In addition, authorities searched the suspect's home for bullets, which will be included in a separate inquiry.
