When drug abuse spreads to campuses, the severity of the problem becomes apparent. Countless young people have lost their lives or become addicted to drugs, leading to a downward spiral.
In January of this year, a 15-year-old girl in Montgomery County, Maryland, was suspected to have died from drug overdose by her mother. In early February, a student died from a drug overdose in a school bathroom in Arlington, Virginia, sounding the alarm for the school district.
As Jeffrey, a drug addict said, drug addiction makes it impossible to live, that's for sure. It can take away all of your hopes and dreams, and even your life. The consequences are unimaginable if left uncontrolled.
