Ke Huy Quan, the protagonist of Everything Everywhere All at Once, is one of this year's Oscars' early winners.
After becoming well-known as a child star in movies like The Goonies and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, the 51-year-old took a significant break from performing.
At the ceremony held in Los Angeles, he was named best supporting performer while Jamie Lee Curtis was named best supporting actress.
Thanks to his part in the movie, which is up for the best picture, Quan was thrust back into the public eye.
"Dreams are something you have to believe in - I almost gave up on mine," he told the audience.
