As the nation works to increase its anti-COVID-19 medical supplies, China's daily production capacity of the painkillers ibuprofen and paracetamol has surpassed 200 million pills, while the daily output has reached 190 million.
Additionally, 1.12 million bottles of children's antipyretic medication were produced on a daily maximum basis.
At a press briefing on Thursday (Dec. 29), Wang Jiangping, vice minister of industry and information technology, revealed the numbers.
Since early December, producers all throughout the nation have increased the production of medicine, masks, vaccines, and other anti-COVID-19 medical supplies. As a result, the daily output of ibuprofen and paracetamol has surged by more than four times.
