Free admission: Performing Arts Carnival to be held at Kwai Tsing Theatre this Sunday

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR and the 35th anniversary of Sha Tin Town Hall and Tuen Mun Town Hall, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) is holding the 25 · 35 Performing Arts Carnivals from May to December at five of its performance venues in the New Territories. The last Carnival will be held at Kwai Tsing Theatre (KTT) from 2 pm to 5.30 pm this Sunday (Dec. 18). Various artists and performing groups will offer a wide range of free performing arts programmes. Members of the public are welcome to join.

Six professional arts groups will offer audiences various exciting performances covering music, dance and a musical in the Carnival. Performances include an original dance and song performance by DancingAndy and Artists; an a capella performance by Yat Po Singers; a cinematic music experience brought by Endor by Drip Music; a original musical by Actors' Family; Jazzical by Music Lab's adapted classical pieces fused with a jazz spirit; and a contemporary dance performance by the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts School of Dance.

A selection of fringe activities will also be held at the Carnival, including community oral history theatre performances, a play reading programme, and Chinese and Western music ensemble performances. An interactive activity, "Into the EKCC: Experiencing the Optical Tracking Camera System", will also be offered at KTT that day, allowing visitors to experience the application of art tech.

Admission to all programmes is free. Programme details are available on the KTT website (www.lcsd.gov.hk/en/ktt/programmes/2535performingartscarnival.html).

In order to comply with the requirements stipulated in the Prevention and Control of Disease (Requirements and Directions) (Business and Premises) Regulation (Cap. 599F) and relevant requirements of administrative instructions, members of the public are required to scan the "LeaveHomeSafe" venue QR code with their mobile phones/other mobile devices before being allowed to enter the performance venues managed by the LCSD. In accordance with the Prevention and Control of Disease (Vaccine Pass) Regulation (Cap. 599L) and relevant requirements of administrative instructions, all persons entering indoor venues under the management of the LCSD must comply with the relevant requirements of the Vaccine Pass. According to the latest requirements on the Vaccine Pass announced by the Government, all persons whose Vaccine Pass QR code is displayed in red or amber are not allowed to enter the performance venues managed by the LCSD.
