State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Russian Ambassador to China Igor Morgulov on Sunday (Nov. 27) in Beijing, saying China and Russia would promote strategic mutual trust and practical cooperation as well as jointly uphold international fairness and justice no matter how the international landscape evolves.
Morgulov, for his part, said that the relationship between Russia and China is unbreakable and the friendship between the two countries could overcome any challenge.
Wang welcomed Morgulov's assumption of his new post during the talks, saying China would provide strong facilitation and support to his work here.
China and Russia are committed to promoting a multipolar world and disapprove of unipolar hegemony, Wang added.
According to Wang, China and Russia adhere to upholding the international system with the United Nations as the core and the international order based on international law, and reject power politics.
The two sides also exchanged views on international and regional issues of mutual concern.
