WhatsApp outages reported worldwide
Popular messaging app WhatsApp on Tuesday (Oct. 25) stopped working for many users in Hong Kong and other countries including the UK, India and Singapore, with more than 11,000 reports made about the Meta Platforms owned service on the Downdetector monitor.
"We're aware that some people are currently having trouble sending messages and we're working to restore WhatsApp for everyone as quickly as possible," a Meta spokesperson said.
It follows a massive service outage for South Korea's messaging app KakaoTalk that left more than 50 million without access to its widely used services for days.
